DESCRIPTION:\nProgram Description: \n \nPlanning for potential long-term care costs is an essential aspect of estate planning, including understanding when to recommend long-term care insurance, who can self-insure, when Medicaid planning is appropriate, and how to preserve assets from long-term care costs. This program will provide some critical drafting tips specific to long-term care planning needs in Powers of Attorney, Marital Property Agreements, Wills, and Trusts, as well as providing an overview of Title XIX rules, planning and pre-planning opportunities for married and unmarried individuals, and how to put your clients in the best position to address their circumstances related to potential long-term care costs. \n \nPresented by:\n \nAttorney Emily A. Hall (formerly Tercilla) joined Becker, Hickey & Poster, S.C. as an Associate Attorney in August 2017. She received her undergraduate degree in Spanish and Political Science from the University of Florida in 2014, and she received her J.D. from Marquette University Law School in 2017. Emily focuses her practice in the areas of Family Law, Elder Law, Estate Planning, Guardianships, and Probate and Trust Administration. Emily serves as the co-chair of the Elder Law Section of the Milwaukee Bar Association, and she volunteers for the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic.\n\n\n \nAttorney T.
