The Warhol in the Closet: Estate Planning for Unique Assets

Date: Wednesday, October 7, 2020
Time: 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Location: Zoom Conference
Speaker: Jonathan Ingrisano (Godfrey & Kahn), Jennifer Olk (Godfrey & Kahn), Sara Mulloy (Hindman Auctions), John Shannon (Guardian Fine Art), Robert Holton (BMO Private Bank)

Significant works of art, collectible jewelry, and antique furniture can individually, or as a collection, represent an important asset of the estate, but due to their inherent portability, also represent a risk of loss. These items may have sentimental or emotional value, and significant, but unknown, financial value; a combination which makes them ripe for intra-family tension, mistrust, and perhaps even litigation. A panel of local experts will discuss the issues revolving around unique assets in estate planning including issues of traceability, valuation, and management.

Please join us for a conversation about estate planning and personal property with Attorneys Jonathan Ingrisano and Jennifer Olk of Godfrey & Kahn SC, Sara Mulloy of Hindman Auctions, John Shannon of Guardian Fine Art, and Robert Holton of BMO Harris as moderator.  A link to the Zoom presentation will be sent only to those who RSVP for the event.
