Dick Kait will provide an up-to-the-minute commentary, in light of recent tax reforms or proposals most likely to be enacted, with ideas for both advanced estate planning and planning for business owners/executives. Dick is a frequent national speaker and has authored numerous professional articles for National Underwriter, Broker World, Life Insurance Selling, Journal of SFSP, and other professional and industry publications. 

Dick Kait has been leading the Protective Life - Advanced Sales Team since 2008, with extensive experience in insurance and annuity solutions for individuals, business owners, their families and employees. His core expertise extends to income, gift and estate tax planning; trusts; retirement planning; business planning; employee benefits; and charitable giving.

Dick is a Princeton graduate, and earned his JD at the University of Wisconsin Law School, and Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation from The National Law Center of George Washington University. Dick served with the U.S. Army’s 4th Infantry Division prior to law school.  He began his career as Staff Counsel for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. Dick has been an active Member of AALU since 2000, and Past President of the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals; and Member of the Northern Virginia Estate Planning Council. He is an active member of the State Bar of Virginia.
