Education funding is commonly of utmost importance to families. George Peek will provide an overview of the various strategies used to fund education expenses, the associated advantages and drawbacks of each, and the tax implications to consider.
About our speaker:
George Peek is a Shareholder at von Brisen & Roper, s.c. in the Trusts & Estates Section. George assists clients in a broad range of estate planning and administration services, including estate and trust administration, preparation of estate planning documents and representations in guardianships/conservatorships; and he is also a frequent presenter
in these areas. In addition, he has litigated several complex estate planning issues including inheritance disputes. George is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® in Trusts and Estates (2024). George serves as a panel arbitrator for the State Bar of Wisconsin Panel of Fee Arbitrators for Wis. Stats. Ch. 788 disputes.
He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, American Bar Association, 7th Circuit Bar Association, Milwaukee Bar Association and Financial Planning Association of Wisconsin.
George is also active in the community, currently serving as President of Mount Olive Lutheran Church and School, a volunteer for Secure Futures and a member of the Enderis Park Neighborhood Association.
